It started with one car
and a handshake.
CARLUXE was founded in 2013 by Declan Murphy, who’d spent a decade managing forecourts for other dealers and had grown tired of watching customers get talked into cars that weren’t right for them. He started with a single car, a mobile phone, and one rule: describe every vehicle exactly as it is — good and bad.
That rule never changed. Word spread, the forecourt grew, and CARLUXE is now one of the most reviewed independent dealers in South Dublin — but the small-team feel stayed. Every car is still inspected by people you can actually meet, and every customer still speaks to the person handling their deal, not a call centre.
